Looking for a unique read? On today's blog, indie author KELSEY BENTLEY from Liverpool tells us what inspired her to write her new zombie novel.

What inspired me to write: A Journey Through The Zombie Apocalypse And I... ?My attempted suicide. I needed a way to recover, I had never felt so alone yet I did have a lot of support from my family.

It all starts with one dream that is almost too disturbing to be not real. An epidemic is about to spread that will cause devastating consequences for everyone. The monsters that we had kept locked away in the deepest crevices of our minds are about to be unleashed.

One family may hold the key in destroying it all. Yet their journey has only just begun: the Curran’s will come across an old rival while discovering new ones. Their heartache will be felt as secrets and lies are unearthed.

Humanity is lost: a few lonely survivors accompany the Currans through the apocalypse. People lose themselves trying to fight off the hordes of undead, but the strange thing is that these zombies can reanimate themselves. With their hierarchy system and their beloved Queen leading the way, it is all leading to ill-fated doom…

Time is slowly ticking by. The Currans need to escape the falling remains of Britain with their new friends before everything goes up in a plume of smoke…

I love horror and have even stumbled upon some weird places on my ventures to scout the perfect locations for my next novels.

Kelsey Bentley grew up in Liverpool, with her family and pet dog Rocky. Only he isn't an Irish Wolfhound like in A Journey Through The Zombie Apocalypse And I...but a Jack Russell terrier! She never believed that she could become an author until the undead came calling for her.
